The Lumby Theory, created by a teacher in MN, states that in the movie Back to the Future, there were two Delorean time machines in the year 1855.
Summarized: Originally, Doc went back in time (to approx. 1855) so that Marty could find the hidden Delorean in the future. However, Marty discovers that Doc is in trouble, so he goes back to save him. By going back, he has now placed two time machines in 1855... unless:
Doc theorized that when they use the time machine, they create an alternate timeline. If that is so, it is possible that the Delorean would be put on an alternate timeline, instead of on the same one that Doc originally hid. Then, however, did the first time machine (the one that Doc hid), ever reach Marty?
Also, when the Delorean runs out of gas, they are forced to use a train to get it at the required speed for takeoff. They would not have needed to do this if they had just used the gas from the original time machine. Therefore, there is a flaw in the film Back to the Future.

Hello This is Sam Naidicz, I am in health class right now and I am really confused about this theory. I just don't get it, it's a movie, on a set, it's not real. Why would they ever create two time machines as props? That just seems like a waste. I luv candy.
ReplyDeleteMaria here, hey I just want to say that the space-time continuum is a very fragile thing. I think that all carbon based creatures will have trouble with with space/time travel as long as the flux capicitor operates on fossil based fuels.

Possibly Doc implemented a single instance locator in the time machine, as in where there is two, it automatically locates the clone and deletes it's previous existence. If my theory is correct, they must've not covered this invention in the movie.

ReplyDeleteOne time I lost my favorite fork. I looked all over for it but didn't know where it went. I figured it must have gone back in time so I walked the rest of the day backwards and found the fork in my breakfast cereal. Also, I tripped several times over a doorway. Ouch.

ReplyDeleteI think that sum mudkipz found they other time machine in the cave and jacked it. They then went to they year 41 to help shadowmario41 take over the world with video games. If this is correct the world will be taken over by mudkipz and then they will make mr. Warnert give less homework which in turn wood make everyone stupid heads. Then the stock market would break so the dog could not be asked about the portfolio.

Time isnt real its just molecules arranged at a certain patter and there would be no previous data of the molecules in certain patterns. It is not time travel just arranging molecules in a certain way and that would be impossible because there would be no data and there never will be
